The diagnosis of energy performance (DPE) is compulsory since 2006 for housing putting on sale (he must be annexed to the provisional sales agreement). The poster of the energy label was made compulsory with Grenelle 2, on January 1st, 2011 (announcements on the Internet, display shop window … with precise sizes).
It is an information which has for objective to indicate the energy consumption and the greenhouse gas emissions products by the apartment, the chalet or the commercial premises; and to make sensitive us in the consequences of the consumptions in energy on the climate.
This information is symbolized by two labels of energies estimating the property on a going scale of A in G:
- An estimation of the energy consumption of color green, yellow, orange and red (compulsory display)
- An estimation of its rate of greenhouse gas emission of color purple.
This diagnosis takes into account the private individuals of the building (wall, roof, floor, woodwork,…) and its insulation, the characteristics of the housing (orientation, situation in the building, ...) as well as the description of the equipments of heating, air conditioning, production of warm water.
This diagnosis must be realized by a certified professional.
